BBC2 ‘Music 625’ live relay. This was the first big music programme on the new channel, the first live television relay of a public concert, and the first simultaneous broadcast on radio and television (BBC Radio Third Programme and BBC2 television). An extract was used in the Royal Festival Hall’s 25th anniversary programme on BBC TV in 1976, and in a programme marking 25 years of BBC2 in 1989.
