The Philharmonia Chorus made its debut with the Orquesta de Valencia in the Palau de la Música, Valencia on Friday 13 June.

A performance of Verdi's Messa da Requiem was conducted by the orchestra's principal conductor Yaron Traub, with soprano Maria Guleghina, mezzo-soprano Nancy Fabiola Herrera, tenor César Augusto Gutiérrez and bass Enrico Iori.

Ridley Scott's sword and sandals 2000 epic Gladiator was presented four times live in concert for the first time in the UK as Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard's sweeping score was brought to life by the Philharmonia Orchestra [Philharmonia Film Orchestra on Saturday 24 May] and the Philharmonia Chorus conducted by Justin Freer, with Lisa Gerrard appearing as a guest vocalist.

On Good Friday, April 18, the Philharmonia Chorus took part in a performance of Szymanowski's Stabat Mater in Polish in the Chapel of King's College, Cambridge, as part of the 2014 Easter at King's Festival, with Polish soloists Aleksandra Zamojska (soprano), Anna Radziejewska (alto), Jarosław Bręk (baritone).

The Chorus also performed the Lacrymosa by Lutosławski in a programme that also includes The Protecting Veil by John Tavener. The BBC Concert Orchestra was conducted by Stephen Cleobury, and the concert was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.

On 22 and 23 March, the Philharmonia Chorus took part in two performances of Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem in the Laeiszhalle, Hamburg, with soprano Chen Reiss, baritone Christian Gerhaher, and the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jeffrey Tate. On Sunday 23 February, the Philharmonia Chorus took part in a performance of Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem with soprano Sally Matthews, baritone James Rutherford and the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Andris Nelsons at the Royal Festival Hall, London.

At the Royal Festival Hall, London on 12 February the Philharmonia Chorus performed a programme of French music with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under their principal conductor, Charles Dutoit.

Soprano Nicole Cabell joined the Chorus for a performance of Poulenc's Gloria, and after the interval the Chorus took part in a complete performance of Ravel's Daphnis and Chloé. The concert was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
