Beth Taylor in the final of the 2023 Cardiff Singer of the World competition

Mezzo-soprano Beth Taylor, a member of the Philharmonia Chorus Professional Singer Scheme, reached the final of the 2023 Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. She joined South African soprano Nombulelo Yende, Italian bass Adolfo Corrado, Welsh soprano Jessica Robinson and South African mezzo Siphokazi Molteno in Sunday's final, which was broadcast live on BBC4. The competition was won by Italian bass Adolfo Corrado. For Beth to reach the final was a fantastic result, and all of us at the Philharmonia Chorus salute her achievement.
